Bruce R. Prichard, age 80 of Voorhees, NJ passed away on November 29, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Ralph H. an Esther (nee VanCleve) Prichard in Camden, NJ. He is also survived by his sister Sharon Costello (Tom), brother Wayne, and predeceased by his brother Kenny.
Bruce is also survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted and loving wife of 62 years, Frances (nee Saccomanno). They have two wonderful children: daughter, Barbara Parsons (Brian) and son Bruce (Michele). They gave him six beautiful and handsome grandchildren: Maria Wallace (Justin), Michael Hughes, Bruce Prichard, Nathaniel Prichard, Deana Prichard, and Matthew Prichard. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Levi Wallace, Noah Wallace, Hannah Wallace, and Ezekiel Wallace, who is in heaven waiting for his Pop-Pop.
Bruce loved his old cars, especially his ’50 Olds, ’55 T-Bird, ’60 Corvette and his 32 Ford. He was a member of AACA, NSRA, NAOC and was a NHRA record holder in 1963.
Bruce could do just about anything and everything: from plumbing to building home additions, fixing cars or solving complicated problems. He graduated from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) with a master’s degree in science and taught Chemistry at Overbrook Senior High School in Pine Hill, NJ for 31 years. He also rehabbed a Victorian house in Cape May and hosted guests at the Duke of Windsor Bed and Breakfast for 16 years.
He is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a volunteer at the LDS temple in Philadelphia, PA for six years.
Friends and relative are invited to a celebration of Bruce’s life. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Stains, 252 E. Evesham Road, Cherry Hill, NJ followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
