Bertha "Bridget" Kelly

February 10, 1930 — September 16, 2020

Bertha “Bridget” Kelly (nee Trost), age 90, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Villas, NJ and Pennsauken, NJ, passed away on Wednesday September 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Bridget was the devoted wife of the late David D. Kelly, who was her childhood sweetheart. She loved and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Bridget was born and raised in Camden, NJ. She was the eldest of 4 children. She had a wonderful memory and shared many stories of her humble beginnings. While raising her children in Pennsauken, she was a member of the Manall-Paetz Unit 461, American Legion, and served as President during the late 50s. One of her greatest accomplishments was graduating from PB Cosmetology School while raising her seven children. She was a committed and talented beautician who loved making other women feel beautiful. Bridget became owner/operator of Lovely Lady Beauty Salon in West Collingswood for many years. She continued to do hair until her late 70s. After retiring, she and her husband David moved to the Villas, NJ, where she became a member of the Villas Fisherman’s Club. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, camping, and traveling to Florida and Las Vegas with family and friends. Bridget was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and never missed a game on television. A highlight was attending a game at Citizens Bank Park with her family. She was a fabulous cook. She never wanted anyone to go hungry and would cook meals for the less fortunate. After her husband David passed in 2002, she moved to Cherry Hill, where she lived with her daughter Alice and son-in-law Billy. Bridget is the mother of Thomas and Anna May Brennan, Terrance and Kathy Brennan, Patrick Brennan and fiancé Joann Murray, Joann (Brennan) and Michael Giesen, Kathy (Brennan) and Jay Myles Jr., Alice (Brennan) and William Blank, and the late Joseph R. Brennan. She is the proud grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 16. She is the loving sister of Alice and brother-in-law Joseph Iannelli, sister-in-law of Patricia Trost and the late Charles Trost and Johnny Trost. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Our mother will be remembered for her giving heart, her compassion for others, and her determination to live life to the fullest. She had a great memory and always had a story to tell. We will forever cherish and miss our personal one on one conversations about life with her, her willingness to listen without judgement, her beautiful smile, and her sparkling blue eyes. At the request of her family, services will be held privately. Condolences may be shared at www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com.
