Barry M. Wright, Sr.

Barry M. Wright Sr, age 69 of Sicklerville NJ passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Beloved husband and best friend of 25 years to Robin (Pennett). Loving father of Makayla, Lee Lin, Ian, Brandon (Amelia), Barry (Kelly), Wendy (David) Proud Grandfather of Connor, Gavin, Sadie and Jason. Brother of Macy Wright and Janet Williams. Barry is predeceased by his precious son Jason, his parents Macy and Margaret, his brothers Ronald Wright and Robert Hartzell and his sister Margaret Richartz. Barry was raised in Penbryn and was a lifelong resident of Winslow Township. He proudly served as a police officer for 27 years for the Winslow Township Police Department. He served on the governing body and was a sergeant-at-arms of the State Senate. Barry fulfilled his ambition of becoming Mayor 11 years ago and dedicated his life to his community. Barry will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Mayor Wright’s viewing will be held on Thursday March 3, 2022, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A second viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00am to 10:30am at the St. Simon Stock Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
