Barry Lee Peters

Barry Lee Peters, 72, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away on January 24, 2025. Born in Ephrata, PA, Barry lived a full life, with a passion for his family, work, and hobbies.

He last worked as a security officer at BJ's Wholesale Distribution Center in Burlington, NJ. Outside of work, Barry was an avid fisherman and gardener who found peace in nature. He was well known for his skills as a handyman—capable of fixing almost anything—and had a talent for home improvement projects. Barry also had a deep love for storytelling, always captivating those around him with his vivid tales, and was a devoted collector of many things.

Above all, Barry was a loving and devoted grandfather, whose presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren, Wendy Peters, Jalana Peters (Julian), Michael Romines, Milo Romines, Robert Marshall, Jr., Joseph Marshall, Lance Marshall, and beloved great-granddaughter Sienna Peters.

He is also survived by his two children, many stepchildren and brother, Melo Peters. Barry is predeceased by his parents, Harold Kopp and Ruth Becker Kopp, and brother, Danny Peters.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be private.
