Barbara Hazlett of Hammonton, NJ and formerly of Berlin, NJ died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 30th, 2020 after a long battle with Dementia and Alzheimer. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cindy Dick of Daytona, Florida and her son, Craig Danson (Susan) of Cherry Hill. Barbara also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Robert, Remy and Michael as well as 5 great-grandchildren. Barbara was loved by everyone who knew her. She was an extremely kind soul who loved spending time with her family and friends. Barbara especially loved working in the yard gardening and had an eye for antiques and all things eclectic. Barbara’s beauty was evident throughout her life. In high school, she was voted the “Prettiest” in her class, however her beauty was not just on the outside but the inside as well. Having followed in her mother’s footsteps, Barbara spent many years as the neighborhood friendly bartender at Olga’s Cottage Green in Atco, NJ and eventually went on to own the Fireside Restaurant in Winslow Township. Barbara’s entrepreneurial spirit continued as she successfully owned and operated her own Electrical Contracting Business. From there Barbara spent many years taking care of patients with dementia and other physical needs until she chose to retire. Barbara’s smile and laugh will be missed by many, but her loving and nurturing ways will be missed the most. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in the future once social gatherings are permitted.
