Barbara C. Lee

Barbara C. Lee, age 83 of Atco, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024, with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Columbia, SC to the late Levi and Essie (nee Bates) McKenzie, Barbara worked as the head cook for the Winslow Township School District for several years. She was very creative and used that creativity to fuel her hobbies of cooking & baking, sewing, drawing, and designing. Barbara was a devout Catholic and as a health enthusiast, she was frequently seen taking long walks on Rt. 73 between Atco and Hammonton. Even as she aged, Barbara had a sharp style and always kept up with the pace of modern life and fashion. She will be remembered as vibrant, energetic, elegant, classy and fun-loving. Barbara will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Austin R. Lee, Jr.; son, Arthur A. Lee; siblings, Harvey McKenzie and Marion W. McKenzie; and parents, Levi and Essie McKenzie.

She is survived by her daughters, Robin L. Lee Brier (Troy Brier) of Marlton, NJ, and Christine Lee Zadravec of Atco, NJ; grandchildren, Kristyn Y. Soto (Jose Soto), Troy Anthony Brier, Brittany N. Brier, Yanitza A. Lee, and Arthur A. Lee, Jr.; great grandchild, Matthew Avery Soto; and sister-in-law, Beverly Lee DeRamus (the late Norman DeRamus) of Prattville, AL.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be held privately.
