Anthony John Mesisca

Anthony “Tony” J. Mesisca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2023, with his beloved wife of 52 years, Bonnie, by his side. He was a longtime resident of Atco, NJ. Tony worked as a postman and later worked as a clerk for the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The past two years, Tony was a resident at Berlin Rehab, special thanks to all the staff; especially his longtime aides Mary and Crystal and nurses, Felicia and Sara, and friend Charlie.

Tony enjoyed watching western movies and Star Trek, he loved music and owned an extensive record collection. Most of all he loved his dog Tracker, and playing cards and Parcheesi with his family, even if he never won.

Tony is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Lucy Mesisca (nee St. Lucy); brother, James Philip; and brothers-in-law, Carl Jay and Ronald.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Bonnie Mesisca (nee Nixon); daughters, Lucy Johnson (Keith) and Maria O’Brien (David); grandson, Chance Johnson; brother-in-law, Bill Joe; and brother, Nick; sister in law, Rosemary Mesisca; and niece, Nicole.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, which would have been his 84th birthday, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. Military Honors will begin at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
