Anthony Edward DePietro, age 88, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Saturday September 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary DePietro (nee Powell). Loving father of Joy Lynn DePietro Casey, Nancy D. Scelso (George), and Susan DePietro (Danny Norbury); stepfather of Cheryl Gottshall (Daniel), Shannon Winstel, Mary Louise Sandler (Bryan), Ryan Winstel (Jennifer), Albert Winstel (Angelina) and Margaret Gibson (Bryan). Proud grandfather of Sean, Christopher, Patrick, Christina, Anthony, Steven, and Skyler; step-grandfather of Lauren, Connor, Josh, Alyson, Madison, Ryan Jr., Kaelyn, Albie, Ethan, Zachary, and Emerson. Dear great-grandfather of Dominic, Scarlet, Mia, Stella, Kristian, Nikolas, Alanna, and baby girl Casey on the way. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his twin sister Geraldine Breland and his dear friends Penny and Ted.
Anthony was born in West Berlin, NJ and had resided in Hammonton since 2001. He worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass in Berlin, NJ for 38 years.
As a proud owner of his 1951 M38 Korean military Jeep, Anthony was a member of the Military Vehicles Collector’s Club and the founder of the Delaware Valley 4x4 Club. He loved the outdoors, the mountains, and the Pinelands. He would often go for Sunday drives in Wharton State Forest. Anthony also enjoyed watching the Eagles, having spaghetti dinners, working in his garage, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Cremation and services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Anthony’s memory to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, 17 Pemberton Rd., Southampton, NJ.
