Anneliese M. Nicholas

Anneliese M. Nicholas, age 94 of Audubon, NJ, passed away on January 5, 2023. She was born to the late Martin and Emma (nee Kiesewalter) Bläske in Gorlitz, Germany. Anneliese met her husband while he was serving in World War II. She traveled from Germany to the US on the US Holbrook at age 18 with an infant in tow. Anneliese met her husband at Ellis Island where they started their new life together. She enjoyed her retirement years at Audubon Towers with her dear friends. Anneliese will be remembered for being a warrior throughout her life. She will be deeply missed.

Anneliese is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Nicholas; daughter in law, Kathleen Nicholas; and siblings, Renate Eschner, Heinz Bläske, Rudolf Bläsk, and Peter Bläske.

She is survived by her children, Michael Nicholas (Judy Beachler), Ronald Nicholas (Lysa), Anneliese Coffey, and Mark Nicholas (Caitlin); grandchildren, Michele Spektor (Mark), Michael Nicholas (Dawn), Ian Coffey, Brandon Coffey, Alexandra Nicholas, Aaron Nicholas, Rostan Nicholas, and Payton Solinski; and great grandchildren, Aaron, Aden and Olivia.
