Alphons "Al" J. Campbell, Jr.

Alphons (Al) Campbell, Jr. age 84yrs. Atco, NJ passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 surrounded by his family. Al. is survived by his wife of 59years, Joan (nee Hamel) and his sons, Brian Campbell, Scott Campbell and Glenn Campbell all of Atco, NJ. Al is also survived by his brothers, Jack Campbell, Edward Campbell, Robert Campbell Richard Campbell and his sister, Isabelle Wakely. Surviving also are 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Al dedicated his life to helping others and volunteering. He was a member of the Waterford Twp. School board and the Waterford Twp., Environmental Commission for many years. He also served as a Waterford Twp., Committeeman for many years. His life of serving his fellow man started with his entry into the US Marines. He started his service in the Marine Corps in 1954 during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1957, he then went on to become a member of the Kettle Run Fire Dept were he became a life member. He was also a member of the Atco American Legion Post #311 Due to the COVID-19 Virus, a service with military honors will be celebrated with family and friends at a later date.
