Thomas C. Wood

Thomas C. Wood, age 80, of Deptford, NJ, passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2020 at the Samaritan Center at Voorhees. Son of the late Thomas F. and Sylvia Wood. Beloved husband of Valerie Wood (nee Young). Loving father of Jeanne (Dan) Dadura and Thomas (Cynthia) Wood, Jr. Proud grandfather of Peter, Thomas, TJ, Valerie, Meg, Daniel, Steven and Margaret; great-grandfather of Ethan and Emily. Dear brother of Joe, Dennis, and Michael Wood, Florence “Flossie” Simpson, the late Terry Deal Wood, Sylvia “Tootsie” Racek, Mary “Cookie” Hatalovsky, and Geraldine “Penny” Christman. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Deptford since 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Thomas worked as a driver for UPS in South Philadelphia for 33 years, retiring in 2003. He went on to work as a bus driver for Harrison Twp. Schools for 15 years, where he was much loved by the students and coworkers. Thomas enjoyed all of the Philadelphia sports teams, but he most enjoyed being with his family.
