Lillian M. Beach (nee Robinson) born on December 16, 1920 was best known for her boundless love, her sharp wit, and a kitchen that never closed. Neighbors, family, and friends came through the back door always open for their morning coffee or to share lunch and have a laugh. Known to many as Ma, Lil, Aunt Lil, Gram, Grandma or Honey, she provided a constant source of love, grilled cheese and iced tea, and laughter. She was quick to mother or befriend anyone in need. She had a way with words, sparkling blue eyes, and a profound humility. She died in her own home 9 years after her husband Henry 'Duke' Beach Jr. passed they were married for 69 years.
She leaves a legacy of strong-willed and big-hearted women two daughters Alice Johnston and Lillian LaFountain (deceased), one daughter in law MaryLou Beach, several granddaughters, great granddaughters, and friends. She also leaves a legacy of men who appreciate and honor strong women—one son Henry 'Duke' Beach, III, two sons-in-law Bill Johnston and Paul LaFountain, grandsons, great-grandsons, and friends. She lives on in the light in our eyes, our laughter, and the space in our hearts to hold others close.
