Biography

There was no time for good-bye. You never said "I'm leaving" you never said "good-bye". You were gone before we knew it and only you knew why. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. You know I can't let you slide through my hands; even wild horses couldn't drag me away. On Sunday December 18, 2011 Helen Diane Brosious (nee Ashcroft) passed away suddenly at Virtua Hospital in Berlin.

Pressing my knees to his sides, he understands and abides. First a walk then galloping fast to race the shadow we cast. We run and run because its fun, like rolling waves across the sea. In perfect rhythm, my horse and I like salt and pepper, friends forever. Diane was passionate about her horses. Early on she had volunteered her time at the only co-ed overnight rangerette camp program. Along with her husband Jim Diane competed in long distance trail riding. At home she tended to the barn and riding ring or enjoyed a bottle a wine with Jim to their favorite country music Corb Lund. Diane had worked as a School Teacher for the Medford Twp. School District and more recently for the Winslow Twp. School District where she had participated in the Bird watching and ecology clubs. Diane had also served on the Board of Directors for the NJ Trail Riders Association.

It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone. Part of us went with you, the day you went home. Diane leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 24 years Jim Brosious of Atco and her sons Kirk Evans of Marlton and Jesse Brosious of Brigantine. Diane is the proud grandmother of Kylie and Matt and is also survived by her beloved horses and her furry friends Tina, Precious, Little While and Sweetie. Thank you for the years you gave us and all that we shared. We only pray when you left us, you know how much we cared.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Brosious family to remember the times you've loved and the times you've shared with Diane on Friday evening between 5 pm and 7 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 7 pm, Pastor David Jones, officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
