Biography

True love is patient, true love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. True love is what Norman and Kathleen M. Heggan (nee Maxwell) shared for the last 11 years until the unthinkable became the unspeakable and Kathy passed away suddenly, leaving an echo of smiles whispering softly down the ways, on Thursday December 1, 2011.

Kathy was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident of Williamstown. She filled her life with happiness. She laughed often and loved much. Kathy enjoyed, more than anything, spending time with her husband Norm. Kathy was an organ donor recipient and had received the gift of life, from her hero & brother Joe. She was a longtime spokesperson for the Kidney Foundation. Kathy worked as an Accountant for Exam 1, Quest Diagnostics in Voorhees for 13 years. At home, she was a holiday person and had always decorated tis the season, no matter the holiday. She especially loved Christmas and her inflatables. Kathy will be remembered as a beautiful and giving person. although she had no children, she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She was the only one who could reach Aunt Dolly and often spent time visiting her.

We need, in love, to practice only this: letting go. Kathy leaves to cherish her echo of smiles whispering softly down the ways, her devoted and loving husband Norman Heggan of Williamstown. She is the sister of Regina & her husband William Cline of Williamstown, Joseph Maxwell of W. Berlin and Donnamarie Tyburski of Erial. Kathy is also survived and will be sadly missed by her Best friend and sister Linda Maxwell, her many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and faithful companion Molly.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Heggan family to gather in the warm afterglow of Kathy's love and laughter on Wednesday between 10 am and 12 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, where a remembrance ceremony will begin at 12 pm.
