Wooster Funeral Home, Atco, NJ Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ BiographyOf Berlin passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Kennedy Hospital, Washington Township. She was 82.She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Laura and Daniel Quigley Gaithersburg, Maryland; Lisa and Michael Quigley of Atco; Linda and Michael Coslop of Newfield and Leslie and Paul Hackett of Atco. She was a devoted grandmother to Mallory, Matthew and Amanda Quigley, Michael and Samuel Quigley, Michael and Emma Coslop and Julia, Paul and Grace Hackett; a sister in law to Pearl Walsh of Shelton, CT and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Clayton she was the daughter of the late Mary and Milton Pomelear and sister to the late Milton E. (Dick) Pomelear. She was a devoted wife to Louis J. Mongeluzzo who preceded her in death twenty years earlier. They were both members of the Class of 1945 of Clayton High School, Clayton, NJ. After high school she worked for the Philadelphia Navy Yard; Bell Telephone Company; Montgomery, Scott & Co. Brokerage firm in Philadelphia and the Fox Company in Newfield. Louis and Barbara met again after his service in the Army in the Korean War and they married in 1957. They raised four daughters in Newfield where she volunteered with St Rose of Lima School and served as librarian at Our Lady of Mercy Academy for some time in the 1980's. A life-long Catholic, Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved reading, cooking and crocheting. She had a quick wit and was always ready to visit and loved connecting with her many friends and loved ones. She had a warm smile and a terrific sense of humor. She was a great hugger and had a kind word for everyone she met. Her love for her family and her great faith were distinct marks of her character. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday evening, March 10, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm and again on Thursday morning, March 11, 2010 from 8:30 to 9:15 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Homes, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, 856-767-0539. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at the Church of the Assumption, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco. Interment immediately following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of Mercy, Villa Rossello, 1009 Main Road, Newfield, New Jersey 08344. |
