Wooster Funeral Home, LLC., Atco, NJ Interment: Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ BiographyOn March 4, 2010 of Atco, NJ age 91yrs. Mr. Bennett is predeceased by his wife Alice (nee Reynolds) and his parents, Louis and Maude Bennett of Jamesburg, NJ. Mr. Bennett is survived by his daughter, Nancy E. Bennett of Maple Shade, NJ and his son, Earl W. Bennett and his wife Janet of Falls Church, VA. and a sister, Revella Mae Allen of Newark, DE. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey & Joseph Bennett and Maureen E. Yunker, two great grandchildren, Amos Mobley and Tyler Mobley and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Bennett graduated from Jamesburg Public Schools and the Preparatory Training Institute of Trenton. He worked for Acme Markets for forty-four years and nine months retiring in 1980. He was a Shop Steward for United Food and Commercial Workers International Local #1245 for twenty five years. He received the Selva Biological Cryo-Con Award in 1972 for his plasma contributions to aid hemophiliacs. After retiring in 1980 and after living in Milltown, NJ for 30 years, he moved to Elmtowne, NJ and than later moved to the Fountains at Cedar Parke in Atco, NJ in May, 2002. He was a member of the Hammonton Presbyterian Church and a Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #6253, Berlin, NJ. The 66th. Div. Panther Veterans Organization, Local #1245, Little Falls, NJ and a Veteran of World War II. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again Monday morning 10:00 to 11:00am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment, Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ.
